Art has been a part of my life since I was a very small child.  My mother loved to create in many forms: sketching, oil painting, crochet, knit, embroidery.  I grew to love being a creative and was always trying to find a way to make something instead of buy it.

In my early 40's I left retail to start my own long arm machine quilting business.  It was during that time I could really explore different kinds of continuous line artwork and look for a signature style.  It was also during that time that I met my husband and we began the long, stressful process of his immigration to America from England.  I turned to dot art as a way to soothe my tired nerves, and I never stopped painting.  Soon I was dabbling in watercolor, alcohol ink, and colored pencil.

In January 2022, I decided to give up quilting to focus on surface pattern design as my last career.  I live on the St Croix River on the MN/WI border with my husband, daughter, 6 cats, and a bossy shih tsu.
